The study of histology and embryology is important for the dental hygienist to understand the causes behind the changes and pathological processes that may be observed in the clinical setting. We will start with embryology and the development of facial and oral structures, including the teeth. From there, we will study the histology of the teeth and oral tissues. Read, review, repeat!
