Introduction to Clinical Procedures is a foundational course designed in conjunction with your first term curriculum to prepare you for patient care. You will be exposed to infection control procedures including hand and nail care, dental unit preparation and sterilization techniques. As the term progresses you will combine skills learned in other courses (i.e. Instrumentation, Head & Neck Anatomy…) as you learn patient assessment techniques. Teamwork is an important factor for the course. As a peer partner your classmates will rely on your attendance and cooperation during all laboratory sessions.
